Introducing Murdoch no 2

Here is the first identifiable picture of our darling 2nd daughter. We are amazed at how much she looks like her big sister, there is no doubt people are going to mistake them as

twins as they get older.

The first picture (left) is Charli at 24 weeks and the second (right) is of "EJ" (long story) at 31 weeks.

We have a booked date of 13 March too, so barring any unexpected stork visits, it will all be happening that day.

CORRECTION: We're now booked in for 12 March at 8am.... it's all very real now...

Happy New Year

Yay, we welcome you to 2008. We had a pretty quiet night, going to Becks sisters for a nice night - guess who had which drink?

a few quiet beers

glasses of Maison

a botbot or two

We have another photo or two of Charli to share with you. The first is at the traditional family Christmas eve show where she received a couple of nice presents.
The second is her at the Christmas tree on Xmas morning investigating SOME of her presents
And the third is Charli enjoying some Christmas lunch - I think it was chicken.

As for the pending bub - still waiting on name ideas but everything seems to be bubbling along nicely.

Feel free to comment on whether you reckon Cam should go on again in footy this year or pull the pin - he's seriously considering hanging up the boots

Charli's first Christmas

Recently Beck and Charli went to the Adelaide botanical gardens for the Christmas get together with their Mums and Bubs group. All the bubbies got a Chrissie present from Santa and as you can see from the photos had more fun putting their wrapped presents in their mouth than actually opening them. Charli hasn't quite grasped what this Christmas business is all about apart from knowing that there's plenty of cool new and colourful things to put in her mouth, but mummy and daddy are having fun buying her lots of presents to open on Christmas morning.

The next superfish

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted, so I thought my first swimming class would be a good chance.

I went swimming with Daddy this morning at Golden Grove Stateswim. I quite enjoyed the swimming for the first few minutes but got a bit tired of it towards the end of the session.
The people at the pool threatened to charge daddy with a drain clogging fee if his chest hair moulted - luckily they didn't see his back which mummy waxed the night before - daddy said all he could taste for three hours after was pain.

Daddy and me will be swimming every Friday morning, so I'm sure i'll get used to it.

A quick update re my new brother or sister - from what mummy and daddy have been saying, it looks like i'm going to have a little sister and the scans mummy had recently, indicate all is going well.

Feel free to post with some nice girl names you think would fit my little sister :)

Hmmm solids

Hi everyone, This is me with my first go on solids. As you can see I wore almost as much as I ate but Mummy and Daddy seem to think this was a successful first attempt - what do you think?

Charli's first twelve months

Hi all,

This is me next to my favourite bear as the month roll by. This first one is of me and bear - I was four days old, and a little bit jaundiced.

As you can see, I needed splints on for a few weeks but all is good now.

Mummy and Daddy will try to keep updating this as each month ticks by counting down to my first birthday (5th of April if you want to go present shopping now)

Me at two months - I had raided the pie cupboard between one and two months :)

Me at three months - as you can tell me and the bear had some good stuff that night.

Me at four months, doing my serious face

Me at five months, nuding up

Me and the bear just chilling. As you can see i've grown quite a bit in my first six months. I'm 65.5 cms "tall" (will be taller than mum soon), weigh in at just over 8kgs and my head size is in the 97th percentile - dad reckons that mean i've got a big head :)

Here I am again, with bear, at seven months. Just chillin and stretching on mum and dads bed. Haven't got much to report this month - As you can see from other posts, I've started swimming. I can sit up by myself now, and my first word seems to be Dadadadadadad - much to mummy's disgust.

G'day again, yes it's that time.... Here's me at 8 months catching some z's with my Bear on mummy and daddy's bed. I'm starting to do some groovy things and am getting more mobile everyday - which means I'm starting to get into everything as well. That cool tree with all the balls and tinsel on it in the loungeroom is no longer safe. Mummy and Daddy tell me Christmas is coming up - Yippee, more of that colourful paper to put in my mouth :)

Well, this is me at about nine and a half months. Sorry I didn't post closer to my nine month date but someone pinched daddy's camera (and video camera and tomtom sat nav). He called them lots of names I didn't quite understand but apparently it "would've made wharfies blush" according to Mum.

Anyway, since my last post I've had my first Christmas and boy that was fun - lots of paper to eat and boxes to bang on, my first tooth has arrived very quickly followed by my second (see the piccie to the right), I regularly feed myself YoYo bikkies and have even started crawling, so I've come quite far. I've become a real buggar at bed time though, testing Mummy and Daddy a little bit but I'm not too bad really.

Anyway, it won't be too long until I post again, hopefully Daddy can get the picture in focus a bit better next time :)

This is me at 10 months (today). I'd partied a bit hard (with bear) at Chinese New Years last night and am paying for it today. Since we last spoke, I'm crawling like crazy and am into everything. Mum & Dad think it won't be long until i'm toddling about - just in time for "EJ"s arrival. I had an excellent vacation "up the river" over Australia Day weekend, swimming in the mighty Murray for the first time.

Thanks to Mum and Dads PC (whatever that is) "dying" I haven't been able to post for a while, so here is me at 11 months. I'm surer on my feet all the time now, though not walking unassisted. Just counting down the days until this mysterious thing called a sister arrives -

I wonder if this is a new toy for me?

Well, I'm one year old now and loving it. I had something called a party last week and lots a cool and lovely people came, showed me lots of attention, and gave me plenty of presents, including, books, clothes and toys. Mummy and Daddy have had to buy a new house for me to put all my new stuff in. Anyway, what am I up to? I'm really scooting (by crawl and wall/furniture assisted walk) around the house into every cupboard and drawer I can find. I've got my third tooth coming through now (up the top) and am understanding this big world more and more every day. I don't think i'll post as often now, but will definitely keep you all updated of my many exciting advetnures. Love always Charli XOXOXOXO

Raggies triumphant

And so ends a pretty successful year for Daddy's (Cam pictured with me) football. He was captain of the Athelstone Football club's reserve grade who won their Grand Final by 21 points on Saturday (15/9/07). It was also Daddy's birthday that weekend. Daddy's team won 15 games in the normal season, losing two and drawing one game, to finish on top of the ladder before the finals. Daddy also had a pretty good year according to the umpires who awarded him enough votes to finish third in the league medal count.
